Any Ford 9" experts? Looking to identify the rear in my Cobra without a build tag. It's a disc brake rear, with some of these numbers cast into the center section. 817.7 34 8ZC 34, and D2AW-F is stamped into it. Any ideas what it's from. It has 2 dimples on the rear housing, and may have been narrowed. It's a 28 spline , big bearing.
Looking for some insight. Have a Toploader 4 speed that will refuse to go into reverse. I can put the car up on a lift, disconnect the linkage and a few taps with a dead blow will move the tranny tab into the reverse position. But once I retook the linkage and back out, it might go into reverse a few times before it refuses to do it again. When I have it on a lift and after I've tapped it into reverse, when I try reverse , its fine and I can shift it over and over. It just seems that after some driving, the problem crops up. Any Toploader experts out there, what gives?
Looking for a way to identify the make of my Cobra kit. Bought it used, and seller was a dealer who didn't know the make. It does have a Chassis # on the repo tag that reads Rk8675309. This number is also on front crossmember, visible from engine compartment. Any help deciphering this or clues to finding out cars identity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
