Torqued to 25ft lb like the instructions say, none are loose. Gaskets compressed…They ALWAYS fail at the top too, and now that i think of it always between 3-4 0r 7-8…

Well think i figured it out (sort of)

Removed the entire exhaust on the captains side and discovered a (now) obvious exhaust leak Between the top of the header flange and the head not really visible with the header on…Still doesn't...

I DID see spark jumping, replaced the engine ground wire, cleaned up everything real good. Still have noise, wondering if the cylinder not firing caused other damage? There is no way in my mind that...

I did just fix the battery ground. The engine ground as well.
Its just crazy how its only on one cylinder. Swapped plugs and wires?
Absolutely goes away with the #7 wire pulled at the distributor....

Weird engine trouble

So we took the wife out for a ride. Stopped for an hour, and just as we were leaving the engine started ticking/tapping. Sounded like an exhaust leak, so we drove home easy…

Superformance side mount handbrake boot?

Anyone sourced one that works? Mine is torn.
Was thinking maybe a repo for an AH3000 or some such old english car with a similar setup? Or just a generic leather boot that works?
