Well - gotta tell you - I couldn't be happier with those Mickey Thompson tires... like a gummy bear that has been in your pocket a while - soft and sticky - have several hundred miles onn them now...

The only thing I can tell you, and I can tell you this since I bought my cobra as a "used" car, is that 427-428 motors ad a premium to the vehicle. There were plenty of 289, 302, Rousch.... powered...

Check those header to head gaskets again. Not going to tell you that this is the answer, but I had the exact same symptoms with my 428 and cured the entire situation, flames and all, with the header...
