I had same issue but have an LS. Mine would sometimes almost die after heated and driving at same rpm for awhile then pushing clutch it would have to catch itself. Had to retune it. Not sure about...

I like all of that set up except for the bottom...

I like all of that set up except for the bottom mount. It just seems like a weak design for the load as stated. They should have fabricated a "U" brace for the bottom mount to distribute the load...

Hope to hear if intake bolts fixed your issue. Seems you would have had a sweet smell in the exhaust or making oil if that was the case..
