I jacked up the front end and when I spin the tire I definitely hear some brake drag. Here is a pic of the rotor...kind of looks worse in the pic than real life. There is no wear on the inner rotor...

Been there...done that. If you are using hydraulic lifters then I agree with Bob....you have valve float. Cure? Heavier valve springs. When you remove your rocker assembly look for a star pattern...

I'm actually not sure what order the sensor would...
I'm actually not sure what order the sensor would be in...it is in the top of the filter adapter which I assume is AFTER the pump and BEFORE the filter.

I know exactly what you are talking about. That little shaft has a retainer or stopper about halfway up. I ended up sliding that down to shorten the end that enters the speedo. Still no luck.
