In some / all cases you have to have TF pistons...
In some / all cases you have to have TF pistons to match the TF heads ($$$). I got my AFR heads on a group-buy deal, approximately $1250 for 185's.

The FelPro gasket set KS-2343 (351W) contains a set of black valve stem seals and a set of blue seals. There is no designation that I can find stating which color is for intake or which for exhaust....

The Precision Engine magazine, May/June issue which just arrived has the concluding article on a 427 sideoiler, the dyno test. The numbers are Tq = 516@4800 rpm; Hp = 528@5800 rpm. Not bad numbers....
