Go to a sporting goods store and buy a hockey puck to go in the saddle. Thats what I use on my C5 corvette and it works well. A puck cost $1.50 or so. Good luck.

Per 1965 small block fords I think had 5 bolt bell housings. Ford used an alpha numeric coding to identify their engines and parts. Can be obtained from INTERNET.

I would find the torque for the water pump bolts...
I would find the torque for the water pump bolts and torque them properly.All bolts on an engine have a torque spec. .

Chances are the bolt that broke was over...
Chances are the bolt that broke was over tightened at some time. I would replace them all based upon the one breaking. There may be more that are stretched to their limit.

What kind of wiring harness is it. Most companies use one they buy. You can go to the painless web site and down load a diagram and use it to finish yours. Get a good multimeter.
