Seems to me old threads can be a resource. A new thread has no information in it at all...the old thread may have something that is still relevant to the problem and all the history won't have to be...

Mickey Thompson S/R radials

Just finished a weekend at Willowsprings with new Mickey Thompson radial S/R's on the rear of my ERA 289 FIA. (fronts are still Dunlop G/T's).

Like them quite a bit. The M/T's are a dramatic...

FWIW,

I have an Aviad pan on my 65' 289". It was sourced in 2003.

It has NOT had ANY leaks, seeps, etc. in 15,000+ miles.

Try Pegasus.

Replaced the "rose" bushings on my SPAX front shocks with spherical bearings from Pegasus racing supply. The replacements are PTFE, teflon lined and hopefully last longer the stock...

ERA has moved to the COLE-HERSEE #8626. The old brand...I fergits...wish I could remember, as BOTH of the originals failed under 5/10k miles..two switches as there are two master...

I installed the 289" in ERA FIA #2027 with the bellhousing in place.

Two experienced guys helped. We used a cherry picker. Engine went in from the front, lots of serious padding taped in place.
