Superformance MK111 2040 with Roush 427R-095. If you've had the opportunity to drive a dealer prepped Superformance with the Roush 427R then you're about 70 to 100 wheel HP away from experiencing the performance of this car. This car is tuned, dialed and documented for performance. As delivered the Superformance, Roush 427R combination is wonderful, however with substituted fuel delivery and exhaust to allow the motor to now breath the way Roush wanted it to perform it's simply intoxicatingly quick. A 5000 dollar exhaust replacement consisting of jet coat 2" primary headers from Olthoff Racing flow into Buckshot Racefab stainless side pipes with 3 inch core. This modification alone required 3 jet sizes greater to achieve proper air fuel ratio. The original Superformance headers and side pipes are included. A McLeod light weight flywheel and Spec stage 3 clutch have been installed in the Tremec TKO 600 which follow through to the Ford 8.8 containing a stronger clutchless bias shifting Detroit Tru-trac with 3.73 gear. The Superformance half shafts have been replaced with a stronger version produced from The Drive Shaft Shop. SWI engine mounts replaced the inadequate original mounts, an 8AN fuel line replaced the 3/8 original Superformance fuel line from tank pick up to the carb, and a 100 micron Aeromotive fuel filter has been implemented. I've always warmed the car thoroughly before driving with spirit, regularly used proper octane fuel (usually 100 octane), and have not stressed the car needlessly. I have had the car to a few club events to fart around a couple laps of a rented road course and been at the drag races a few times. It is not a course track car, nor has it endured sustained hard use on the engine, just 10 to 11 second jaunts with proper air fuel ratio to be within engine safe limits. All, but one pass at the drag strip have been easy off idle starts. 99% of the miles are cruising.

Here are a few extra images and references.

Superformance and Olthoff Racing headers for comparison. The Superformance covered 1/3 inch width of the exhaust ports. The Olthoff cover nothing.

The engine bench test from Roush was 561 corrected HP. This is the rear wheel Corrected HP and torque Dyno sheet as the car is currently prepped.

Additional included custom carburetor from Pro-Systems. This carb was designed for fuel economy and easy driving while maintaining good performance. The other two carbs included to buyer are the Pro-Systems performance carb on the car and the Roush supplied 4150.

Also included is a second set of 17 inch wheels with hardly used Yokohama high performance tires as well as a second set of 15 inch rear wheels. An image above contains many included items, Superformance side pipes, Superformance headers, additional 5 point belt, soft top and tauno cover, etc. A plethora of original paper work and receipts are contained in the SPF 2040 baby book.
