Up for sale is my big block stroker motor. It started out as a 78' 460 block, 2 bolt mains. Cast steel crank, 4.300 stroke, 6.700 forged h-beams and forged flat tops. All are internally balanced. It currently has a stef's aluminum oil pan on it, along with a weiand aluminum water pump. The cam in it is the comp cams XE284H, which is fairly mild for this size engine, but will have a nice idle and sound.
The reason im selling it, is because its just too big for what im going to do with the car. It was intended to be a weekend racer, but im going a different route with it now.
I also have a march serpentine system for it, along with a built c6 and stall. The stall is a 2600 so its great for street cruizing.
The pistons in the motor right now will not work with any style cobra jet head. Though thats whats on it right now... I can sell the top end thats in the pictures separatly, or I can have the pistons swapped out and work out a packaged deal.
Im asking $2500 for the short block, with oil pan, water pump, balancer, and automatic flexplate. Everything has 0 miles on it. The only parts re-used when building this motor were the block, and the timing cover.
For the march system im asking $350, and for the transmission im asking $750. (it cost me $700 to have it built)
