Description: FOR SALE, 1968 FORD FOUR SPEED TOPLOADER. REMOVED FROM A MUSTANG I WAS SELLING AND I WANTED TO KEEP IT BECAUSE IT ALWAYS SHIFTED LIKE NEW. . WORKED FINE BEFORE REMOVAL. TAG ON SIDE READS, top, RUG E 2, bottom, 031644. ser# ON TOP OF TRANS READS “8T02J100634”. THE FIFTH DIGIT “J” INDICATES THAT THIS TRANSMISSION ORIGINALLY WAS INSTALLED IN A MUSTANG WITH A 302 4 BBL. OF COURSE IT WILL FIT MOST FORDS THAT HAVE THE LONG TAIL SHAFT. MOST MUSTANGS WITH A 260, 289 302 AND 351 FROM 1965 THRUOGH 1973. I’M NOT SURE IF IT WILL FIT A 351 CLEVEAND ENGINE.
THE TRANS ALWAYS HAD TRANS OIL IN IT AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN LUBRICATED. THERE IS NO VISIABLE RUST INTERNALLY AND NO CHIPPED TEETH. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO INSTALL IT AND THEN DRIVE IT. Looking for fair offer.
