Do you want more air flow, but have found that the 9" K&N filter won't work on your 4150 carb due to hood clearance with the currently available "raised" base plates? This may be your answer. A FLAT 9" air filter base. Flat, meaning it sits right on the 5-1/8" airhorn flange. Small notches on each side provide clearance around the float adjusters. This will allow you to use a wide range of 9" round filters AND the 9" K&N #66-0901 Extreme top, which is not available for 8" filters. Also fits inside most turkey pans. Made of .050" spun aluminum. Available in mill finish only, but could be polished or anodized by purchaser if desired. This is the base only. Filters not included. Also available without notches and with 7-1/4" hole for 4500 Dominators. Price is $45/each plus shipping. USPS Priority shipping runs about $10 within the US.

Thanks for the note. I hope you are feeling better. What is the actual OD of the base? I now am using a Quick Fuel carb and want to see if it might fit without the cutouts.
