Description: Brand new Superformance MKIII 427 S/C powered by rebuilt big block 428 CJ. This new car is chassis #2911. Royal Blue with White stripes.Excellent condition with only 365 miles. Remember the MKIII is an authorized Cobra replica, licensed by Carroll Shelby Licensing. All MKIIIs are factory built rolling chassis with all new components and a show quality factory paint job. Chassis and suspension components are purpose built for the series which results in a superb handling sports car. This great car had the 428 CJ motor built & installed by the Mustang Ranch of Santa Clara, CA.

Engine details: Original Ford 428 block, completely remanufactured. Bored .60 over with Keith Black hypereutectic pistons with 10.5:1 compression. Standard stroke, Ford 428 rods with ARP bolts. Crank is an original Ford “1U” 428 cast iron. Heads are Ford CJ cast iron, ported & polished with SS “tulip” valves. Rockers are 427 adjustable, shaft mounted. Cam is a special “CJ” grind by Crane, with hydraulic flat tappets.The intake is Edlebrock Performer RPM with a Holley dual feed, center pivot 650 cfm.New Pro Products dampner, new Ford oil pan, new 428 water pump & fuel pump, stock timing cover & steel pulleys.Electronic distributor with a MSD 6AL-2 box. Included on the MKIII are the silver ceramic coated headers & side pipes & the polished SS surge tank. The Mustang Ranch estimates the motor is producing 450hp. They recommend a break-in of at least 500 miles before a “dyno run”.

Transmission, Driveline & Suspension: A new Tremec TKO600 with 26 spline input was installed. The clutch is a kevlar/organic 11” actuated by Wilwood hydraulic clutch slave. The flywheel is a lightened steel 428 flywheel. Bellhousing is Ford FE unit. Driveshaft is custom made, connecting the Dana 44 differential. The MKIII has all independent suspension with custom springs, Bilstein shocks & Wilwood brakes. The 15” knock-off aluminum wheels are pin drive & carry radial T/As 255/60R15 front & 275/60R15 rear.

Cockpit: The MKIII interior is fully equipped with correct Smiths gauges, Lucas switches,German leather seats, wool carpeting, Moto Lita wood rimmed wheel & an optional locking glove box. Additional features include heater/defroster, dual fresh air vents, dropped foot boxes, map pockets, tonneau cover and top with side curtains.

We completed the installation on this car and it is new with just show miles on it. -- the 428 starts right up and runs well, Bob and I did the install at the Mustang Ranch. This is a no-nonsense build ready to go -- If you are an FE fan, this is a 428CJ built to my standard. --Steve
