Description: 1962 Thunderbird hardtop one of approximately 30
factory 390 tri-power

Vin. 2Y83M162141 decodes as:
2, 1962; Y, Wixom assembly plant; 83, tudor hardtop;
M, 8-cylinder 390 cubic inch 6-barrel High Performance;
162141, unit number

Door tag information:
Body, 63A (tudor hardtop); Color, A (black);
Trim, 55 (red vinyl); Date, 07E (May 7th 1962);
DSO, 41 (Chicago); Axle, 1 (3.00:1);
Trans, 4 (3-speed cruise-o-matic)

I have the correct restored tri-power including many N.O.S. parts such as: C3SZ-9424-A, intake; B9AZ-9A589-B, bakelite heat insulator pads; C1AZ-9B549-A, dash pot assy; C7AZ-9737-A throttle return springs; etc.

The correct C2SE tri-power heads are also included.

Current FE engine in 1962 Thunderbird: block, C6ME-A date 6K14; heads, C7AE-A dates 6L8 & 6L14; timing chain cover, C3AE-6059-A; intake, C7TE-9425-E date 6L5; Autolite carb, C7AF-AS date A 6HD. This motor could be a 428 long block.
