Here is a dazzling example of the best Cobra MKIII 427sc recreations that money can buy with only 7956 original miles. Superformance cars combine the classic silhouette, detailing and performance of the legendary Cobra with a more modern fit and finish and a state of the art chassis. This is not a kit car. Superformance is a South African car company that produces production MKIII Cobras and is the only company sanctioned by Shelby of America to produce these cars. This car is a replica of a 1966 Cobra MKIII production number 159 Rolling Chassis and Body.
This sinister looking silver snake is finished with black racing stripes and black interior. The bite to back up the bellowing bark is an 460 C1 Cobra Jet SVO engine rated at 560 horse power with a single 4bbl carburetor. The cam is Hydraulic with .588 intake and .614 exaust @ .050 lift. The engine is backed by a Tremec 5- speed transmission. You will notice the dual quad 600 cfm Holleys on top that not only make this car even more unique than it already is but also provide obvious performance gains. This setup, with its aluminum heads, aluminum intake manifold, and ceramic coated side pipes, approaches a thundering 600 horsepower.
The suspension has been upgraded with QA1 Stocker fully 12 pt adjustable Coil Over shocks at all four corners. The stunning wheels are fully polished replicas of the rolling stock that appeared on Ford’s famous GT40 racecars. These are fully modern units, of course, and measure 17x9 up front and 17x11 in the back. The tire are BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KD (Killer Dry). The front size is 275/40 ZR17 and the rears are 315/35 ZR17.
This Cobra comes with a quick release fire extinguisher with billet bracket, owner’s manuals, receipts, information, spec sheets, a show board, professional photo, soft top, side curtains, the original Halibrand wheels and Goodyear tires that came on the car.
The car is titled as a 1996 Cobra with a corresponding original VIN, however, there is a Shelby American data plate with a 1966 Ford VIN on it plus this VIN is stamped on the chrome plate between the radiator and the engine for those of you that will allow it to be registered as a 1966 in your state. The original VIN for the car is stamped under the chrome plate.
This car runs and drives great and has no known problems. I am selling it as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I will make it available for inspection at any time.
