Description:
|
1965 Ford Cobra 427SC replica by Unique Motorcars, Gadsden, AL. Chassis is black powdercoated with coilovers on each corner. Front brakes are Wilwood discs with dual piston calipers. Rear is a Jaguar independent suspension with inboard Jaguar discs. Differential is a 3.21 limited slip unit. Brake bias is adjusted front to rear via a bias bar on the brake pedal. Brake and clutch master cylinders are by Wilwood. Wheels are American Racing Torque Thrust D (period correct and actually featured in an original Shelby ad) and tires are BF Goodrich radial TAs. Seats are original style black leather, carpeting is black wool, black vinyl dash with Stewart Warner instruments, and the trunk is finished out in black wool carpeting. Tonneau cover is included. The four point safety harness is supplied by Simpson.
The engine is a 1974 351 Windsor block bored and stroked to 393 cubic inches. It is fed by an AED Holley carb through an Edelbrock Victor Junior single plane aluminum intake and Victor Junior aluminum heads. The headers and side pipes are gray ceramic powder coated. The rotating assembly is made up of Keith Black aluminum pistons, forged “H” beam connecting rods, and steel Scat crank. The camshaft is a Lunati 51012 hydraulic roller with Lunati roller rocker arms and valve springs and Comp Cams pushrods. Oiling is provided by a Melling high volume oil pump, 8 quart Milodon oil pan and Canton remote oil filter. Cooling comes via a Griffin aluminum radiator and a high flow Edelbrock aluminum water pump. All ignition components are MSD including the distributor, wires, coil, and 6AL box with rev limiter.
Transmission is a Ford Toploader and power comes through a Centerforce dual friction clutch and pressure plate.
