This is an opportunity to acquire a gorgeous, fresh, very well built, big block Cobra at an exceptional value.
This magnificent hand-built car was the passion of its Owner, who meticulously planned and executed the development of the car. Subtle (and expensive) details can be found everywhere, from the Moto Lita wooden steering wheel to the original Lucas tail lights, and reflect his thoughtfulness and vision. Pride of ownership is evident throughout and it was clearly built to keep and to enjoy for a lifetime. There was never an intent to part ways with this car, but due to the untimely and sudden passing of the Owner, it must now be sold.
We, the guys posting this ad, are family friends and fellow enthusiasts. It is being sold outright with all proceeds going to the family. There are no mark-ups on this car as you would see with a broker, flipper or consignment shop. While the circumstances of this sale are tragic, the person who buys this car will be getting a remarkable specimen at a very good price.
The car looks brand new. The chassis and all underside components look as clean and new as the top side, which is nearly perfect. There are less than 1,700 miles on this car. It would be very difficult to find a cleaner, more “like new”, specimen.
I will caution you that your heart may skip a beat when you see this car in person. The stunning black paint looks absolutely wet to the touch and is bottomless in its depth and clarity. The white Le Mans stripes are striking in contrast and are buried beneath the clear coat (no ridge). The stance is incredible… I swear you can stand there just looking at the car for hours.
This exceptional Cobra 427 S/C was not only assembled with the highest quality componentry offered by Unique Motorcars, it also includes a long list of upgrades including: Stewart Warner gauges, leather seats, aircraft style leather quick connect seat belts, quick jacks, wind wings and sun visors, stainless steel oil cooler lines with anodized fittings, dual electric radiator fans, authentic Lucas tail lights, original style Moto Lita wooden steering wheel, independent rear suspension, dual adjustable rear coil-over shocks, adjustable trailing arms and diff brace, Wilwood vented rotors and 4 piston racing calipers, custom front suspension (tubular “A” arms, adjustable coil-over shocks, adjustable caster and camber and 5/8” diameter stabilizer bar), Le Mans quick fill fuel cap and chrome SC rear brace roll bar. This is not a cheap build and the high level of options reveal the vision and passion the Owner had as he planned the car.
The drive train features a fresh big block 460 ci Ford power plant with Demon 750 cfm carburetor and approximately 500 RWHP. The custom headers and original 427 SC style side pipes are ceramic coated. The exhaust note is nothing less than intoxicating both when pushing her and during the lopey rhythm of idle. Transmission is the classic Ford top loader 4 speed with short throw shifter.
Rolling stock features awesome upgraded 17” rims which allow a much greater selection of high performance tires (compared to original style 15” rims). They look superb on this car and fill the wheel wells up perfectly. They are shod with excellent Kumho Ecsta MX rubber with 245s on the front and 285s on the rear. The stance, again, is breathtaking.
Even the registration, which documents the car as a 1965 Cobra, is a special and valuable feature and does not betray the essence of the car.
The car is stored in a climate controlled shop in Dawsonville, Georgia. We can provide additional pictures upon request. We can also offer a live walk around skype inspection for out of town parties and can show you close ups of any detail you’d like to see. We encourage inspection by your mechanic at your expense. There are no excuses with this car and it will not disappoint.
