Description: I have decided to go ahead and put my Cobra up for sale. I don't mind going into more details as to why I am selling if you want to know but the short story is that I have been letting this car become an idol in my life... therefore it's time to go.

I bought the car new in 2001 but didn't really get moving on until around 2007. In 2002, I built a second FFR w/ a 427FE / Top loader (#2188) and I learned a lot with that build that I changed for the better on this build. I am sure that I missing something but that is most of it.

The car is titled as a 1965 in Texas and is current on tags. I have a set of 1965 Texas plates I plan to put on it when I go in later this year to renew registration.

The cars runs great and is plenty fast at the track. It took it once to the Texas Motorplex and it went 6.36 @ 108.4 mph in the 1/8 mile and 10.05 @ 131.8 mph in the 1/4 mile. Not many street legal cars will do 0-60 mph in 2.1 seconds and 0-100 mph in 5.5 seconds. Along with going fast in a straight line, it also handles well with the 3 link rear suspension and sticky front tires. With the large cobra brakes and light car it stops better than most cars as well. The car is very streetable and cruises the freeway great at 1500 rpm.

I have started the body work. Seams were ground out and filled with 3M HSRF and then coated twice with Rage Gold. All aluminum work has been completed w/ the exception of nose aluminum and a few other little details. The interior has not been carpeted as I was holding off to get the frame powder coated. Also, I have yet to install the AC pedals on the brake and clutch pedals. Finally, the new doors still have the original MKI door hinges installed so tabs will need to be installed on the frame to mount the MKIII door hinges.

It would cost more $40K in parts alone to duplicate this car and that excludes all the custom work that has been done.

It pains me to sell the car as I am so close to finishing it and even have a powder coat guy that does a bunch of West Coast Choppers stuff set up to do the frame.

I would like to get $29K for it and I am pretty firm for now but might entertain some offers. I also have kept a 3 ring binder of all my receipts and original manuals that will come with the car. If you are interested in it or want to know more details, feel free to PM me or give me a ring on my cell at 214 .770 .0186.

I have the rear spinners off in this photo b/c they don't allow them at the track.

This photo shows the engine with the BG street demon on it that I have since sold I lined out my DC carb for the street.
