I don't know why (but I am sure someone will tell me) but my ceramic headers are dull but the sidepipes are shiny and I haven't done anything to either except drive the hell out of it. One thing I do like about the ceramic...you can spill permatex,
oil, snot, mustard...blood, whatever on the headers and it turns to ash and blows away in about 15 minutes.
