Hi Guys,

Thanks for the response. My car is SPF 1941. It was built in 2004 and has a little over 13,000 miles on it.

The squeal starts at 5 mph and continues through out the cars speed range. It never gets any louder but it is continous. I cannot here it over the sidepipes but if I push the clutch in and drop the RPM's to 1100, which is idle for my car, the squeal is audible over the road noise and will stop below 5 MPH. Bumps make no difference. Taking it out of gear at any speed and letting the engine idle make no difference. Under a load makes no difference. I live on a hill and can roll down the ally and here the squeal with the engine idling. It sounds metallic like a brake rotor squealer but pulling on the brake handle makes no difference, there is no squealer on my system. My first thought was that the piece of junk emergency brake pads were misaligned and causing one of the pads to slightly rub on the rotor so I corrected the gap between the pads and rotor and it's still squealing. The emergency brake has new pads so no rivets are rubbing on the rotor. I am concerned that it may be a half shaft problem.
