Looking for a few tips on how to sell my Cobra
So after a year of having fun playing with it, the new house project is making selling my Cobra off seem like a good idea. (At least, it's a good idea to my wife....)
I could really use some help as I ended up with this car though my dad's estate and wasn't apart of the whole build process.
At the time I picked it up from the estate, it was valued at about 25-30k I think . It's a Midstates with a 351W and less than 600 miles on it since the build was finished. (My dad passed shortly after it was completed.)
It does need an electrical problem figured out, but otherwise it's in great shape. (The battery runs down when I drive it.) It could probably use a tune up though.
I have about 90% of the receipts and notes from the build from my dad's files. (Everything on where he bought the parts, engine, who did the paint, final assembly etc.)
My problem is that with work and building a new house, my time is about zero. I'd rather find someone to handle the sale and manage the process, but I'm not sure who does that kind of work in the valley.
Any suggestions folks might have? If I can get 20k out of it, I'll be happy. So there is some money to be made if someone wants to take the time to sell it.
I'd thought about Barretts, but given the bloodbath I saw when I went two years ago, the downturn in the economy and their costs just make it hard to go through the process.
Much obliged for any help you can provide,
Pete
