If my simple understanding of this bill is correct, if you have over 50 employees, and you as a business don't offer medical coverage...the Gov't will fine you $750 per employee. Great, want to guess how many companies are going to fill out the denial claims on their insurance plans for employees?!?!?!?! Sure, the arguement will be made these companies already don't pay for insurance so this is a step in the right direction. But if medical insurance companies begin charging much higher rates due to having to accept many more "high risk" clients...want to bet many companies currently offering medical coverage will drop it due to the higher premiums to stay profitable?!
