Where did you find the gromets? I need 2 for my roll bar and it's 2". You could cut a slit in the mount on both sides and after you push the roll bar back up and bolt it then you can slide a piece of flat bar through the slit and secure it. Then you have a back-up for the roll bar and hopefully it will only take you 6 months to get over the accident instead of never.
