You really need to get your terminology correct. You have a pilot BUSHING not a pilot BEARING. This is not just semantics. BUSHINGS are bronze or Oilite material and are made in molds. BEARINGS are precision machined gizmos. Nonetheless, I agree that if your crank hole was too large, neither a bearing nor a bushing would work. However, no pilot BEARING would be off center.
