Default Why are many car guys overweight?

As a healthcare professional and cobra enthusiast, I've noticed a rather large number of my fellow hobbiests that are overweight. (40-60+ years old) This is NOT an attack on anyone who carries a few extra pounds. I just recently lost a friend who passed away at a early age from complications of renal issues. I wonder what would happen if we all spent 5-10% of the time we would have been working on our cars or surfing the internet for next hot upgrade and work on our health? I am sure we can all agree with the uncertianty of our American health plan soon to be launched, we need to be prepared to either spend more money on health issures or just eat a bit more sensibly and exercise so we can all enjoy our families, friends and cobras for years to come.

What is the performance gain for every pound (car/driver) reduced?

I wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving... Peace, Darren
