Indeed, the USA has rejected, at least in part, the Geneva Convention. I do "hope" that will "change" (if I could borrow a phrase of two).

Beyond the GC there is the military law, government law and common decency/ethics laws that still apply, to everybody. Especially so for those actively engaged in "war".

These "scumbags" (and they are every bit of that) and every other person engaged in war have certain rights and responsibilities to prosecute that war within reasonable guidelines. Some adhere to the standards, others don't. "Well everyone else is doing it" never was a good excuse when you were eight years old or 80 years old. Kind of sucks too...

I see the polls declare that National support is down for Obama's handling of the war effort. In my opinion, therefore, most folks are to short sighted. I look forward to Obama's coming address to the Nation on the war plan. I think it will be a huge event and well recieved (by MOST folks, certainly not THIS conservative forum).
