I run a regularly abused 535, and I have a Detroit Locker. No problems in many years of use, and very quiet IF you follow FoMoCo's recommendations and use ONLY GL5 (75w90) gear oil with the Ford Friction Additive--about $6 @ any Ford dealer. Mine has held up very well, even with many trips to the 1/4 mile.
