That was about my reaction too when I saw the size of the fitting on the pump suction.
You know me Bob. Anything to be a litte different. The pump is an Aeromotive high volume jobbie that was supplied with my EFI system. It flows 500 LB/hour at 43 PSI. Supposed to be good for 1000 HP. Really nice looking stuff. A little overkill for my application, but I have it, so I'll use it.

The fuel switching solenoid I have only has 3/8 supply ports and 5/16 return ports. I might end up putting 2 pumps in and using the 3/8 ports in the valve to switch the return line.
I might as well volunteer to be the guinea pig if you want to try the lines at the rear of the tank. Probably the smallest line size I'd feel comfortable with on the pump suction would be a -8. We can discuss further when I visit.
