FFR: yeah, that's a late enough sn to have the latch that I described in my first post.
It's hard to describe what to do when one locks-up. I'll try to get to the shop tomorrow and figure out exactly how to do it, with some pics. I have repaired a couple of them, but it's been awhile, & I don't remember exactly what I did.
