If the lenses were from a landrover then they weren't L691's I'm guessing and so probably had an E stamp.

If you look at the codes on the indicator and stop lenses they should have different codes indicating use such as Mike says.

The clear Lucas L691's code indicates parking lamp use only, not as an indicator, and this relates to the way the lens refractory properties have been developed and made for the lens to operate.

Same reasoning applies to the headlights as the old headlights don't work as well as the new designs including the ability to not blind oncoming drivers. Same reasoning as to why the tripod Lucas headlights aren't legal.

Just the fun police spoiling our day again.

I'm sure you'd have seen the Vicroads guide for lighting, this gives you the dimensions you need to meet particularly for the side indicators too.
