One explanation as to how Global Warming is causing colder Winters. The ocean current that flows to the Equator and back up the coast with the warm water which transfers heat makes its turn by Iceland I believe it is. As the ice melts, cold, fresh water forces the current deeper, therefore when it makes it next trip by the Equator it is deeper and picks up less heat. It is like an endless loop that is sinking farther every time it goes by where the glaciers are melting.
