I see a distinct difference between commenting on the state of racism, however clumsily, and trying to promote it.
Under that distinction Reids and Clintons comments were not racist, but Byrd certainly was.
The great thing about our political system is that we have a way of getting rid of politicians, and I think we should make better use of it.
As far as I am concerned a black guy simply has a better tan than me. Then again - so does Frosty the Snowman.
