If what they say is correct the water isn't what is melting the ice. As the ice cover shrinks and more land becomes uncovered we lose the area of reflection of the sun plus the ground soaks up heat and adds to the melting process. I know that most of the huge glaciers in Glacier National Park have melted in the past years but that could be just a normal cycle. I really don't buy into the Global Warming is the cause of everything theory.
