Regardless of "polls" the simple reality is the Republicans are to splintered, lacking leadership, lacking funding and have no clear front runner to offer a significant challenge to Obama. It's a four quarter game, 1st qaurter is now over. Repub's got nothing going, nothing on the horizon. Come half time they better rally big time or they won't even have a prayer in the final inning. I don't see that happening, in fact, I see more splintering and confusion for the party as time goes on.
The Tea Party will only help to dissolve the Repub's even further, so there is no hope in that direction. It looks pretty bleak, frankly. I say that purely as a political observation regardless of where my loyalties may or may not lay with any given party.

You do realize that you are hanging 100% of your hopes on the
"other side" doing nothing right? While that IS entirely possible as both 'sides' are politicians,

it only takes one competent individual to emerge and pull the Repubs/Conservatives together. While the Dems are saddled with Barrack Hussein Obummer for the next few years, they cannot throw him under the bus yet. They WILL ASAP, but cannot do it while he's the incumbent.
