Well, I just read that interview between Palin and Beck, I'm not impressed. She was following the classic Republican line, nothing new. I like to see someone form their own opinion's, their own ideas. I get the feeling she will be just another voice from the Repub side with no nothing new to offer, so why bother...

Case in point: Her comparison of Reid comments to Lott's comments. Declaring a double standard on the Demo's. Lott was forced to resign so why shouldn't Reid? Why? Because the comments the two men made are not even in the same ball park! Lott was promoting racism, clearly, without question, applauding it. Saying "we" as a Nation should have listend to Strom Thurmond and followed his lead. If we had we wouldn't have all these "problems" we have today. Followed Thurmonds lead? Whoa, was he serious? Thurmond is the very epitomy of racism. He wanted to desegragate the military opposed equal rights for blacks. I mean the man, bless his heart, was a dyed in the wool classic Southern White racist, there's just no other way to put it. And Lott supports that? Dam right he should have resigned!

Reid's comments, clumsy as they were, recognized a simple truth. The country was ready for a light skinned plain talking "black" man to take office. That is a political reality check, as offensive as it may sound, it's the truth.

Repub's would do well to stop the comparison's between Lott and Reid, it just makes them look stupid in my opinion. Palin included...
