I , obviously , can`t speak to everyone having access to the best care in the world , as you put it ... but here are two first hand experiences . The lady down the street got colon cancer at 32 years old .... and no insurance to speak of . She was treated in a world class cancer center and all charges were written off .
The second lady was the wife of a friend of mine who contracted Leukemia . She was still in school and had only student insurance .... again , treatment in a world class cancer center (two bone marrow transplants etc ) , and again , the bill was written off . Neither of these people were refused treatment and the center knew going in that they had no insurance and no means to pay for any treatment ..... and somehow , they still got the best treatment available .
