Alffie,

Rubber Vs Urethane is a personal preference, both have there advantages and disadvantages.

I had the alternative rubber bushes (not OEM) in mine and only lasted two years with only a couple nationals and shelbyfests done. I should have bought OEM rubber bushes for a better comparison. I have now gone to urethane.

Properly installed urethane, greased properly will last as long and as well as rubber. The beauty of urethane is you can pull apart and re grease when you want. I bought a set of mid softness urethane bushes (Black) from prestige spares and have been great. I think Lovells suspension (blue urethane) have a wider range of softness options and might be worth a phone call or look up their website. I have found more positive steering and no noticeable harshness increase in the front end since going urethane.

Good luck.

Cheers Tony
