There's no flooding here in my home studio, although I am as usual ankle-deep in large friendly dogs. The creek behind the house, usually a trickle or at most a foot deep in wet weather, is six feet across and three deep, a sign that the ground here is saturated and we're approaching 100% runoff.
I was in the massive flooding in 1995 that made national headlines (remember the retirement home sitting in the middle of a lake? I worked two blocks away). Had to search out a path home that wouldn't drown my Mustang. Haven't seen anything of that scale yet but I understand this will continue through the weekend... fortunately this house, like my one then, is on a substantial rise and above anything but truly catastrophic, dam-broke flooding.
