The Rat told me he paced off 50 yards to place the swing target but was not very accurate with his standing shots. The .223 is new to him and has put less than 300 rounds through his new Toy. He has a 3x9 variable scope that should allow him to drive nails @ 50 yards when he finds a way to get comfortable and dialed in. I suggested he check his stance and way he is holding the rifle to reduce the moving target in his scope.

I think Gunney or R. Lee Emery could help this young lady find his target for sure. Emery uses the military stance of putting his most forward elbow across his chest and craddle the fore stock from the bottom. I always found that very awkward and place my front elbow away from my body not under the rifle ??? Maybe if you start shooting that way it would become less awkward but it would seem to reduce the sway Ratboy is experiencing. I know we have some experts or training guys on CC, what is the best method guys? Oh, the targets were built for 22LR so the .223 should destroy them.
