G'Day Modena, I've got a garage with 8' high trusses and I've got a hoist as well. My car measures 45" or 1.15 m roughly from tyre base to windscreen top. With my car raised to within 4" from the fluro light fitting. I have approx 1 metre under the vehicle at the tyre bottoms....so I have a bit more room under the car. I have a little pneumatic seat on wheels ( bought at any cheap shop / auto accessory store) that I wizz around on under the car. I also intend to rebuild the shed ...I will build a steel one without trusses...this will give me another 3 feet, 1 metre at least. There is also another idea in the plan to raise the roof above the four post hoist. This will give more lift again.
