Don....with the new G-W-C rule if the leader takes the white flag then no matter what happens the next flag will be the checkered flag and the race is over......if Earhhardt had passed Jamie then i think he would have been the winner for sure and by not displaying the yellow it dosent freeze the field.......first to the stripe ....WINS.
i like this new rules change as it gives the people not in the wreck a chance to advance
if they can.and when the chackered flag flies the race is over anyway.
I think this season might be a little more exciting with this rule change.
and yes they could shorten some of the races but Daytona is the first race of the
season and is the one that should be left alone.
