Mike, My hood hit the body in front of the right hood hinge when opened or closed. I messed around changing the "J" shaped bracket always with the same results. NFG. My pivot brackets were glassed in at the factory so I thought they were right. Not so. Did some cad mockups at work and found out that if you move the pivot forward (as strictlypersonl said) you gain more clearance. So I made some stuff to move the pivot point forward and it works perfect. I can't remember how much but it was like 3/8 or so.
Now it open with the same gap all the way accross. Hope this helps, Russ
