I'm not clear what the advantage would be.

I registered SPO1862 in my name. The process required inspection by a police officer; that and a few forms, with an affidavit of construction, were all I needed to register the car in about three weeks. Be sure your supporting documentation shows the car to be registered replicates a design first constructed and sold to the public in 1965. That way the car qualifies for the exceptions specified for vintage cars, i.e., no front license plate, emissions as of the date of the model being replicated and a few others.

A beautiful car, precisely assembled. Unfortunately I don't fit. Sold it after four hundred miles. Well, at least now I know a Cobra is not a car I can own.
