Mr. B

According to the stories I have heard, Scut Farcus is the uncle of Murt. Rumor has it that he was legendary on the west coast during the heyday of hellfire racin', as both a mechanic, driver, lover (some say females of several species), innovator, drinker, and all-around rascal. A financial wizard with other peoples money, it is said he invented the 3-sided pyramid scam, ah, deal
and developed the first infomercials (for oil supplements I think). He became somewhat of a recluse in his later years, not entirely due to his being wanted in 5 states and 2 foreign countries for unspecified acts and ego damage to highly placed officials and their wives/bank accounts/live stock. Much like that "almost made the cover of Time Magazine man of the year runnerup" he disappeared under suspicious circumstances in the explosion while speed testing the Propane Powered Goat Rotisserie, MkII, which was under final development to replace the ill-fated Vega motored PPGR, MkI.

As to his getting wupped by Ralphie in the movie, the family lost the 1987 defamation/copywrite case against the movie company when the Judge summarily threw the case out of court. "How could anyone defame that miserable bast*rd!!! If he shows his face, or anything else around my wife, er, my court, I'll have his b*lls in a bucket!!!!" Judge Shepard disappeared soon after and the family decided to cut their losses.

PS, Nephew Murt has been trying to live up to the legend of his uncle for years, unsuccessfully it seems. Something about bringing a pea-shooter to his endevors, on and off track.

Edit: I have been warned to post a disclaimer that the adventures of Scut Farcus are in no way related to, or meant to resemble anybody (or body made up of several different peoples parts) living or almost dead who happens to sound like they resemble these stories.
