I agree if you have a "modern" engine with roller rockers and lifters there is zero reason for the "additional" ZDDP.  Look at your car engine you drive 150,000 miles.  In addition the additive package deteriotes over mileage, with that being said if you are changing your 
oil every 2K miles / once a year you could get away with todays 
oil since you will not deplete the package in 2K miles more like 5k miles.

ZDDP levels have beenreduced . For overhead cam engines the lower levels probably don't matter. For us flat tappet guys it does.
