try to hold off paying sales tax until you think you have a good chance in getting it through the MAC and registered. You may have to go to another state to get in on the road. Massachusetts is the hardest state at the present time. We are waiting for the SEMA legislation to pass. At the current time only existing powertrains (both the engine, transmission and rear end need to be from the same car are able to get through. No crate engines etc..
