Point well taken Dcmgt, that could make a difference all right!
Krause notes the traction numbers as follows: Dry, slick, a 10, hand grooved a 9.5. Wet, a 3. It would be interesting to see if the wet traction number would come up with a different pattern. No doubt a bunch of it has to do with the compound of the rubber itself. I wonder how the stiffer side wall comes into play as it concerns wet traction? Stiff sidewall, by the way, is mainly why I wouldn't run a street drag radial on the street or a road track. Way to much "slop" in the side wall.
