Looks like the Samsung DVR chip. I've got this same thing in a pen type spy camera. (I sell the 8gb high def pens in my stores for $85)
The audio is rather marginal even in a non-noisy enviroment. You can also get these as gum pack or keychain setups. (No Jamo, no shoe cams.)
If they have the mode enabled you should be able to take JPEGs as well.
