You just have to drive one. Then you will understand why they put it in there.

I drove the sister to this car. Richard threw me the keys and said go have some fun. That's what I did too. What a machine. I just loved the way the back end broke loose with a blip on the throttle. It's the first car I drove that was easy to make the rear come around in a controlled manner.
It did take a little time to get used to the shifter being on the left though.
