I'm not sure a larger scoop would have much impact on the air under the hood. There's so much air being forced into that gaping hole at the front that you'd be hard pressed to aggravate it. I've seen reports that indicate air actually comes out of the hood scoop at triple digit speeds with no turkey pan in place.
